Ribchester Roman Museum is in demand as an educational resource. It has one of the most educational and interesting Roman displays in the northwest and a collection of Roman artefacts unrivalled in Lancashire. The Museum is a low risk visitor attraction located in a beautiful and peaceful part of the Ribble Valley. It is a safe and idyllic venue for school visits. The Museum provides 2-hour educational sessions. The format for a Keystage 2 group includes:
• Introductory talk
• Object handling
• Dressing up in Roman Armour
• A visit to the remains of the fort
• A tour of the museum
